The house has been recently renovated throughout and has: 4 good size double bedrooms; a comfortable lounge with television, dvds, cd player,  mp3 speakers and books; a large well equipped kitchen with a dining area; a main dining room that seats 12 guests and a second smaller lounge. It has two modern bathrooms and a pleasant landing with small seating area. The house is south facing, so it gets full sun from dawn till dusk and it benefits from outstanding views of the surrounding meadows, mountains and woodland.

There is plenty of wildlife around the house. Deer are plentiful in the adjacent forest, buzzards frequently fly low in front of the terrace and, in spring, a large group of herons nest in the tall trees next to the house (hence the house's name, Herons' Place). The house also benefits from a second upper terraced area and a large garden. There is a washine machine and barbeque set available in the garage. There is space to park several cars.

There are numerous excellent local walks possible from the house itself and the local area is suberb hiking country.

There is a pub about 5 minutes walk from the house that serves food in the evenings, including trout they catch themselves from the adjacent small river. About 3 km away is Gorjni Grad, a small town with several shops and restaurants.
